A Scalable Wellness Infrastructure for

Foundations, Grantmakers & Grantees

Philanthropy and social justice movements can’t thrive if the people leading them are burned out. The Givers Revival is redefining leadership wellness by providing structured, culturally-rooted support for foundation leaders, grant-making organizations, and grantees.

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is the first of its kind, offering dedicated wellness advocacy, conflict resolution, and holistic healing practices—so social justice leaders can sustain their impact for the
long term.

WORK WITH US
WHO WE ARE & WHY WE EXIST

For too long, foundations, grant-making organizations, and grantees have been expected to function under extreme pressure without structured wellness support. Unlike corporate teams with built-in Employee Assistance Programs, movement leaders have been left to navigate burnout, emotional exhaustion, and workplace stress on their own.

The Givers Revival was created to change that. We provide a centralized, scalable wellness infrastructure designed specifically for those managing high-stakes funding, social movements, and community-based change. Our work ensures that those who give the most are also cared for—without sacrificing their leadership, mental health, or the sustainability of their mission.

“AN EAP ROOTED IN EXPERIENCE”

We are led by practitioners who have lived, led, and healed within social justice movements. With over 20 years of experience in philanthropy, movement-building, and trauma recovery, our team brings both expertise and lived wisdomto every activation, initiative, and offering.

Meet Our
Co-Creator & Chief
Innovation Officer
Wakumi Douglas

Tanisha “Wakumi” Douglas (she/her) is a social impact entrepreneur, healing arts curator, and restorative justice practitioner dedicated to building leadership and wellness spaces for communities impacted by systemic oppression.

Raised by an undocumented father who served 33 years in prison and a servant-leader mother, Wakumi’s 20-year movement career has been shaped by both resilience and the realities of justice work. She founded and raised over $8 million for a national youth-led abolitionist nonprofit and has worked as a liberatory transformation consultant, circle keeper, and trainer for organizations including United We Dream, Dream Defenders, and Harlem Children’s Zone.

A Soros Justice Fellow and Move to End Violence Fellow, Wakumi is also the founder of Columbia University’s Beyond the Bars Conference, which has grown into a premier gathering for social justice leaders worldwide. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and a Master of Social Work from Columbia University, where she was trained as a social worker specializing in restorative justice and community healing. Initiated into Ifa spiritual tradition in 2023, Wakumi now blends movement-building with ancestral healing practices, ensuring that leadership wellness is rooted in both strategy and spirituality

Meet Our Co-Creator & Founding Artist-In-Residence

Tyquandra “Tye” Alrasul El Bey (they/them) is an ordained minister, recording artist, and restorative justice practitioner whose work blends music, activism, and healing. Known artistically as LyriqTye, they are described as the “Lauryn Hill of the South” for their introspective lyricism and spiritual depth.

Having spent nearly two decades navigating the Florida prison system, Tye now mentors returning citizens, leads trauma recovery circles for gun violence survivors, and facilitates restorative justice repair processes. They have worked with organizations including SOUL Sisters Leadership Collective, Dignity Power, Smile Trust, and Dream Defenders to support abolitionist and legal reform initiatives.

As The Giver's Revivals Co-Creator & Artist-in-Residence, Tye is leading efforts to bring music medicine to the social justice frontline. Their upcoming vinyl EP project seeks to merge sound healing with movement-building, ensuring that cultural expression is a key pillar of leadership wellness.
